Commonwealth Alliances Hires Kate Wood As Senior Associate of State Government Affairs

Former Campaign Aide and Director of Legislative Affairs and Services for Governor Steve Beshear Joins Successful Lobbying Firm Focused on Technology, Healthcare and Manufacturing

(Frankfort, KY) Commonwealth Alliances, one of Kentucky’s most successful Government Relations Firms, has hired Kate Wood who previously served as Governor Steve Beshear’s Director of Legislative Affairs and Services as well as Deputy Finance Director for the Beshear for Governor Campaign. Kate will serve as Senior Associate of State Government Affairs.

Prior to serving in the Beshear Administration, Kate served as Deputy Finance Director of the Beshear/Mongiardo Gubernatorial General Election Campaign and Deputy Finance Director of the Lunsford/Stumbo Gubernatorial Primary Election Campaign. Kate also served as Finance Director for the Democrat Caucus of the Virginia House of Delegates and Finance Director for the Judy Belk for Congress Campaign in Alabama. Kate is a graduate of Transylvania University and has her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Louisville.
